Down here in Venice, Louisiana they don't mess around.  In just four hours we were miles off shore in the Gulf hooking up Tuna on spinning reels.  Yes...spinning reels and jigs!  Each of these fish came in over 160 pounds and provided enough filets for all of us to fill our freezers.  A big thank you to TripleTail Charters for always showing us how to get it done down here!  What a great day on the water!

Our boat has been tucked away for about 3 weeks and we are grateful for this opportunity to spend Thanksgiving in the Keys.  Mile marker 53, known as Key Colony Beach has won our hearts.  Caribbean blue water, great back fishing, and just a few minutes to Vaca cut makes deep sea fishing in our backyard...Vaughn loves fishing off the dock and feeding the nurse sharks.  

This week we had the opportunity to fish with Two Conchs Charter, out of Marathon, FL.  We had a great morning on the water - Vaughn reeled in a king mackerel that was our biggest fish of the day.  An active morning on the water followed by a wonderful dinner of fresh fish!
